Gait detection and step counting using smartphone
Kočendová, Kateřina ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Němcová, Andrea (advisor)
The focus of this thesis is the detection of walking and running, followed by a step count. Testing is performed on signals of regular daily human activity that involve sections of running, walking or no activity. Those signals are logged using accelerometer in smartphone. The exact type of physical activity performed is distinguished by an average, variation coefficient and wave transformation methods. Basics statistic methods are used to quantify the number of steps taken during either walking or running. Algorithm for activity detection and algorithm for step counting are optimized and tested by a set of signals.

Košťál, David ; Křupka, Ivan (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
The purpose of this work is to show an overview about contemporary state of knowledge in area of CAD data exchange icluded trends of future development.
Design and realization of automatically parameterizable tape-in-feeder.
Zmítko, Václav ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Baštán, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with design and development of a parameterizable Tape in feeder attachment of an automatized programming machine Storm. Tape in feeder is a device which carries the tape with chips into the machine. This parameterizable feeder will be directly replaceable with the Hover-Davis feeders which are using the same installation space and communication interface. Feeder will be designed in a way, that accommodates for different tape widths and contains functions to simplify manufacturing process.
Code Analysis and Transformation Based on Transducers
Pukančík, Marián ; Tomko, Martin (referee) ; Meduna, Alexandr (advisor)
This thesis is concerning with Code Analysis and Transformation Based on Transducers. Thesis defines all necessary terms regarding finite and pushdown transducers and then discusses design and implementation of an application based on these types of transducers, oriented on  the area of bioinformatics.
Customer Satisfaction
Fiedler, Pavel ; Čačková, Veronika (referee) ; Schüller, David (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is concentrated on analysing the customer satisfaction with Globus ČR k.s. Several analyses, which are part of this thesis, have been performed. The company itself was analysed based on information from the external and internal environment and the level of customer satisfaction was verified by a questionnaire survey. Based on this information, several suggestions have been made that could lead to an increase in customer satisfaction with this company.
The role of IL-17 in kidney transplantation
Menšíková, Markéta ; Stříž, Ilja (advisor) ; Krulová, Magdaléna (referee)
The role of IL-17 in kidney transplantation - abstract Naive CD4+ T-lymphocytes (Thp) can develop into Th17 line in the presence of TGF- and IL-6. Th17 cells are characterized by expression of Ror- t and by production of interleukin-17 (IL-17). It is secreted as a glycoprotein homodimer. Binding to IL-17 receptor (IL-17R), which is present in all cell types, stimulates the production of proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines. The ratio of Th17: Treg in the graft showing signs of rejection is higher than in the graft without rejection. The presence of IL-17 in a culture of proximal tubular epithelial cells (PTEC) stimulates the production of IL-6, IL-8, MCP-1 and C3 complement component. Simultaneous action of IL-17 and CD40L synergistically increases the production of IL-6, IL-8 and RANTES. Signaling from the receptor on the surface of PTEC associated with its increased expression is effected via the src kinase and MAP kinase, and probably leads to the transcription factor NF- B. In rat models of transplantation, the IL-17 appears in allografts on the second day after surgery, the level rises until the fifth day, then decreases and disappears before the death of the animal. IL-17 is not detectable in isografts and negative controls. It appears before the IFN- , which had been considered a trigger of...
Methodology of telemark skiing
Turek, Michael ; Polášková, Marcela (advisor) ; Jindra, Matouš (referee)
Title: Methodology of telemark skiing Aim of the study: The aim of this thesis is to create educational, methodological and motivational film, which will include design of metodology of telemark skiing. Methods: In developing this thesis, we used a combination of methods of critical analysis of documents and the author's own empirical experience with telemark skiing with the method of comparison of selected knowledge, methods and participating and uninvolved observation and cinematographic film processing method. The work is a synthesis of theoretical research and dynamic field work. Results: According to this thesis was created teaching methodology and motivational DVD that in addition to the metodology also out lines the historical aspects and current concepts of telemark skiing. The text of the thesis in theoretical part complements the DVD detailed information from the history and information about telemark equipment. Methodology of teaching in the text corresponds to the contents of the DVD. Keywords: telemark, methodology, turn, step, stance, free heel
Measurement and analysis of postural stability and movement patterns of persons after transfemoral amputation
Vyhnal, Ondřej ; Prokešová, Eva (advisor) ; Majorová, Simona (referee)
Title: Measurement and analysis of postural stability and movement patterns of persons after transfemoral amputation. Objectives: The aim of this work is to understand the compensatory mechanisms arising after femoral amputation and to find out what effect the lenght of amputation has on movement patterns in humans after transfemoral amputation and exarticulation in the knee joint. Methods: In my work I used the method of analysis and method of comparison. For the analysis of postural stability, I used standard tools: force plates (Kistler 9286A) and motion recording system (Kistler 9286A). To compare kinematic one-dimensional data, I used the technique of statistical parametric mapping, which is a generalization of classical statistical tests from scalar to one-dimensional data. 8 probands with transfemoral amputation participated in the study. Three successful attempts were recorded, at three speeds with the contact of a residual and amputated limb. The movement of the pelvis in the horizontal, sagittal, transverse planes and the time spent on a residual limb were analyzed. Results: We found that the length of amputation significantly effects postural stability and movement patterns. It was found that the shorter the amputation stump, the less stable the gait, with greater deviations in the...
